Mount Vernon Police: Person Shot Near S. 4th Avenue

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- One person was shot Wednesday night near the intersection of S. 4th Avenue and W. 1st Street in Mount Vernon, police confirmed.

Police did not specify the gender or age of the victim. The shooting incident is an active investigation, police said.
