Kevin Christopher and his then-15-year-old daughter are suing for “unspecified compensatory and punitive damages” in U.S. District Court, according to lohud.com, which reported that Christopher claims officers approached his daughter for no reason and sprayed her with pepper spray before stomping and beating her.

Christopher claims the girl was injured during the arrest and spent two weeks away from school while she was in juvenile lockup, according to lohud.com, which reported that charges against the girl were soon dismissed by a judge.

In court documents, Christopher claims officers lied to prosecutors at the time of his daughter’s arrest, telling them she had committed several crimes when actually had committed none, according to lohud.com.

The case, which was initially filed in January, was amended on Aug. 5, according to lohud.com, which reports that neither the city nor the officers have responded to the court documents.
