MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. – A Mount Vernon resident has been accused of stabbing a man in broad daylight on Gramatan Avenue on Monday.
According to police, Michael Bouse, 24, was charged with a felony count of assault after a 26-year-old man was stabbed multiple times in the arm and abdomen shortly after noon on Monday.
Bouse fled but was tracked down on Third Avenue by police investigating the incident. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The motive for the assault remains under investigation.
Bouse was due in Mount Vernon City Court on Tuesday for his initial appearance.
