Mount Vernon Health Aide Charged With Stealing $21K From 91-Year-Old

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. - A Mount Vernon home health aide working in Bronxville is in hot water after she allegedly stole more than $20,000 from her elderly victim.

Police confirmed that, Sharon Campbell-Montague, 56, who was working for a 91-year-old woman in Bronxville for the past year was arrested last week and charged with multiple felonies for reportedly stealing approximately $21,000 by forging signatures and stealing multiple checks over the span of six months, ending in April.

Campbell-Montague has been charged with two felony counts of grand larceny and one count of second-degree forgery. She was arraigned and is being held at the Westchester County Jail on $10,000 bail. She is due back in Bronxville Village Court on Wednesday, July 20.
