MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- A convicted felon from Mount Vernon is facing weapons charges after police said he fired a gun on a city street, according to a report by lohud.com.

Keith Harris, who spent more than a decade in prison for shooting a man in 1994, is now charged with criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment in connection with the March 5 incident, reported lohud.com.

Police investigating reports of gunfire found numerous shell casings on South Thirteenth Avenue, the lohud.com story said.
