Tyrone Cox, 31, was arrested and taken into custody on Friday and subsequently arraigned Monday on charges of attempted murder following the incident outside Tristan’s Barber Shop on Mount Vernon Avenue that left a New Rochelle man paralyzed from the waist down.
Shortly before 9 p.m. on April 9, Cox allegedly gunned down his 33-year-old victim, shooting him several times in the legs and lower abdomen before fleeing from the scene, leaving him paralyzed.
According to a report, earlier in the day before the shooting, the victim had attempted to settle a dispute between Cox and another party.
