RYE, N.Y. - Firefighters in Rye battled a brush fire that broke out on Boston Post Road on Monday afternoon.

Shortly before 4 p.m. on Monday, April 17, fire crews were dispatched to the Marshlands Conservancy, where a fire broke out near the Rye Golf Club, sending smoke billowing into the air that was visible from across the nearby harbor.

It was not immediately clear what the cause of the fire was. No injuries were reported.
