Child Hurt After Mount Vernon Worker Tossed Trash Can At Cab, Police Say

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. – A Mount Vernon sanitation worker has been suspended while authorities investigate charges that he threw a garbage can at a taxicab Wednesday, according to a report by News12.

Mount Vernon police say a city sanitation worker is facing charges after tossing a trash can at a taxicab and injuring a child.

It hit the cab and injured a child inside, police told News12.

Police told News12 that Kris Upton tossed the can at South Eighth Avenue and Kingsbridge Road.
