Bank Robber Remains On The Loose In Mount Vernon

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. – An unarmed woman made off with several thousand dollars after robbing a Chase Bank on Monday afternoon, Oct. 20.

Police confirmed that an unidentified woman, who remains on the run, walked into the bank on Gramatan Avenue about 3 p.m. Monday and handed one of the tellers a note, alerting the employee that the bank was being robbed.

The suspect was placated with $7,000 and made off on foot. No arrests have been made in the robbery, and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information regarding the bank robbery can contact detectives at 914-665-2500.
