Vita Maria Furgiuele, 77, Former Owner Of Carvel In Mount Vernon

YONKERS, N.Y. - Vita Maria Furgiuele of Yonkers died Oct. 27. She was 77.

Furgiuele was born in 1936, to Christopher and Helen Loiacano Sapienza. She was a member of the St. John the Baptist Altar Rosary Society, The Columbiettes and former owner of Carvel in Mt. Vernon.

Furgiuele is survived by her children, Jeanette (John) Kolkowski, Helen (John) Rubbo and Anthony (Robin) Furgiuele; eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; and husband, Angelo Furgiuele.

Calling hours are Tuesday, Oct. 28 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Flower Funeral Home Inc., 714 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29 at St. John the Baptist Church. Interment at the Gate of Heaven.
