Serafina R. Trippodo, 97, Worked For N.Y. Telephones In Mount Vernon

MONTGOMERY, N.Y. - Serafina Rosalie Trippodo of Montgomery died Monday, Oct. 28. She was 97.

Trippodo was born June 1, 1916, in the Bronx, daughter of Octavio and Madeline LoMedico Trippodo. She worked as a telephone operator for N.Y. Telephones in Mt. Vernon. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Mt. Vernon and Holy Name of Mary Church, Montgomery.

Trippodo is survived by her sisters, Frances Rida of Somers, Regina Spruck (George) of Montgomery; brother, Thomas Trippodo; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; sister, Angelina Barootjian; and brothers, Octavio Jr., Frank Peter, Phillip, Joseph and John Trippodo.

Calling hours are Friday, Nov. 1 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St. Walden. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2 at Holy Name of Mary Church, 89 Union St., Montgomery. Interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx.
