Rita Lanzadore, 64, Mount Vernon Native

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. – Rita Vogt Lanzadore of Mount Vernon died Aug. 26 after a prolonged illness. She was 64.

Born June 7, 1948, in Mount Vernon, Lanzadore was the daughter of Andrew and Maryann DiDonato Vogt. She graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1967 and married Vincent Lanzadore on May 25, 1974, at Mount Carmel Church in Mount Vernon.

She was a longtime communicant of Mount Carmel Church and employee of the Westchester Clerk's Office in White Plains. Lanzadore previously served as a cadet in the Civil Air Patrol.

She is survived by an uncle, John (Joan) DiDonato; an aunt, Teresa Petretti; a sister-in-law, Frances Maselli; and numerous cousins and friends.

There will be no visiting hours. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Mount Carmel Church. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. Yannantuono Burr Davis Sharpe Funeral Home in Mount Vernon is handling arrangements.
