Minna Deltora Shields, 68, Of Mount Vernon, Healthcare Aide

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. - Minna Deltora Shields, a resident of Mt. Vernon, died June 25. She was 68.

Shields was born June 26, 1945, in Manchester, Jamaica, West Indies, to Joseph and Icynet (Powell) Foster, where she attended the public schools. Emigrating to the United States, she was employed as a healthcare aide for private families. She was a member of the Full Gospel Church of God of White Plains.

Shields is survived by her husband, Cecil Shields; daughters, Nadine Alcalde and Ann Marie Shields; sons, Wilton Jarrett and Gransfield Jarrett; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Calling hours are Friday, July 5 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Full Gospel Church of God, 400 Old Tarrytown Road, Greenburgh. Services at 7 p.m., then at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 6 at the church. Interment Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale.
