Michael Viggiano, 68, Of Mount Vernon, Vietnam War Veteran

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. - Michael Viggiano of Mount. Vernon died Sept. 23. He was 68.

Viggiano was born April 19, 1945, in Mt. Vernon, to Carmelo and Angelina Viggiano. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was involved in coaching Pop Warner football, CYO basketball and little league baseball. He was a Section 1 wrestling champion at Mt. Vernon High School.

Viggiano is survived by his wife, Linda Yazzetti Viggiano; children, Christian (Maria) Viggiano and Stephen (Phoebe) Viggiano; a grandchild; sister-in-law, Catherine; and nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his brother, Carl; and nephew Carl.

Calling hours are from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27 at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28 at Yannantuono Burr Davis Sharp Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. For more information, please visit :
