Mary A. Feraulo, 96, Formerly Of Mt. Vernon, Seamstress At JC Dress Shop

KENT, Conn. - Mary A. Feraulo, a former resident of Mt.Vernon, and most recently of Kent, Conn., died Sept. 5. She was 96.

Feraulo was born Oct. 22, 1916, in Mt.Vernon, to Ferdinand and Filomena DeMaso. She raised her family in Mt.Vernon while working for the JC Dress Shop as a seamstress. She was a member of Mt.Carmel Church and Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Mt.Vernon. She then moved to Eastchester in the Senior Residences, and then on to Kent, Conn.

Feraulo is survived by her her daughters, Christina (Victor) Positano, Barbara (Thomas) DeVito; six grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Rose Sclafani and Ann (Barry) Marzella; brothers, Nick (Jenny) Cerbone, Sal Cerbone; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph A. Feraulo; and son-in-law, Lawrence A. DiLunardi.

Calling hours are Monday, Sept. 9 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Hawthorne Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne. Interment to follow.
