Mae DiNapoli, 100, Mount Vernon Resident, Teacher, Business Owner

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- Mae Di Napoli, a Mount Vernon resident, died Oct. 25 of natural causes. She was 100. 

Di Napoli was a lifelong resident of Mount Vernon. She owned and managed Mae D Fashions Dress Manufacturing Company for more than 40 years. She taught home economics for the Mount Vernon Board of Education. She was a member of the Italian Women's Civic Association, Business and Professional Women, Golden K Kiwanis Club and the Armory Senior Center Executive Board. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Carl Di Napoli.

Di Napoli is survived by her daughters, Geraldine Christiana and Patricia Uva; a sister, Josephine Searles; four Grandsons, Dr. Joseph Christiana, Dr. Gerard Christiana, Thomas Christiana and Gregory Christiana; and eight great-grandchildren. 

Family and friends will celebrate her life from 9-10:30 a.m. Thursday. A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 10:45 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter and Paul's Church.
