DiStefano was was born in Italy on Oct. 19, 1940. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Gerardo in 2009.
She loved spending time with her family and truly enjoyed their farm in upstate New York. Maddalena worked for over 20 years at the Reliable Sprinkler Company in Mt. Vernon.
She was the mother of Grace Gentile and Michael (Anna) DiStefano; grandmother of Andrew and Christine Gentile; and sister of Rosa, Vita, Tina and Nina.
Family will honor her life on Friday, Aug. 28 from 4-8 p.m. at Yannantuono Burr Davis Sharpe Funeral Home, 584 Gramatan Ave., Mt. Vernon. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sts. Peter & Paul Church. Entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
