MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. Lydia Covino DeFillippo, of Mount Vernon, died on Wednesday, Aug. 5. She was 100.
DeFillippo was born on Dec. 10, 1914, in Mount Vernon to Emilio and Cristina Covino.
DeFillippo is survived by her children, Joyce Longi and Neil DeFillippo, five grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Vincent, brother Nicholas Covino and sisters Fannie Vitaliano, Rose Mosca and Olga Ciallela.
Visiting hours will be at the Yannantuono Funeral Home on Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at Sts. Peter and Paul Church at 10 a.m.
Interment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.
