Louis Gallello, 89, Longtime Mount Vernon Resident

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. - Louis Gallello, a longtime resident of Mount Vernon died Sept. 18. He was 89.

Gallello was born Sept. 5, 1925, in New Rochelle, to Marcello and Mary (Nicoletti) Gallello.

He was a self-employed plumber in New Rochelle for over 40 years. He served in the Army during World War II.

Gallello is survived by his children, Virginia Creem, Maryann Bisignano and Frank, Gallello; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Nicholas “Scoop” Gallello and Thomas Gallello; and sisters, Rose and Lucy. He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Babe Gallello; and sister, Josephine Carafa.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 22 at Blessed Sacrament Church. Interment will follow.
