Louis Frusciante, 88, Mount Vernon Postal Worker

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. – Louis Frusciante of Mount Vernon died Jan. 29. He was 88.

He was born May 17, 1924, to John and Emma Santoro Frusciante. He served in the Army Eighth Air Force in England. He married Christine Tullo on April 13, 1947. He served as an usher at Our Lady of Victory Church and was an avid golfer.

Frusciante worked for the U.S. Postal Service for more than 30 years until his retirement. He also worked at Barletta and Rough Flower Shop for many years.

He is survived by three children, Linda (Joseph) Cancilla, Rosemarie (Albert) Gherardi and Louis (Donna) Frusciante Jr.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife; a brother, Peter Frusciante; and a sister, Rose Bonito.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Yannantuono Funeral Home in Mount Vernon. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Victory Church in Mount Vernon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Victory Church, 28 West Sidney Ave., Mount Vernon, NY 10550.
