Lena Esposito, 88, Of Valhalla, Former Mount Vernon High School Employee

VALHALLA, N.Y. – Lena Esposito, 88, of Valhalla, died Thursday, April 30.

Esposito was born in Portugal in 1926, and at age 19 immigrated to the United States.

She worked in the cafeteria at Mount Vernon High School for many years.

Survivors include two daughters, Susan (Jimmie) Tornabene and Lisa Autieri; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Frank; two brothers, Abel and Mike; and one sister, Lea, preceded her in death.

Calling hours will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, at the Yannantuono Burr Davis Sharpe Funeral Home, 584 Gramatan Ave., Mount Vernon.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Yonkers.
