Frank Giampia, 55, Mt. Vernon Native

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. – Frank D. Giampia, a Mount Vernon native, died suddenly Oct. 20. He was 55.

Born Sept. 22 1957, in Mount Vernon, he was the son of the late John and Beatrice Giampia. Raised in Mount Vernon, he lived in Norwalk, Conn., as an adult. Giampia worked as vice president of sales at Sharp Performance USA Inc. in East Norwalk and had a great love for animals and cars.

Giampia is survived by three children, Marc Anthony, Alexa Rose and Gianna Lynn, all of Bronx, N.Y.; two brothers, John and Thomas; a sister, Maria Giampia-Macchio; two sisters-in-law, Judith Giampia and Sharon Stein-Giampia; and a brother-in-law; Joseph Macchio. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Giampia Sr.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Collins Funeral Home in Norwalk. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
