Curalee Victoria White-Thomas, 78, Mount Vernon Postal Service Employee

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. - Curalee Victoria White-Thomas died recently. She was 78.

White-Thomas was born Jan. 5, 1935, in Santa Cruz, Jamaica, W.I., daughter of Cleveland and Vita Levy-White Curalee. She was a resident of Mount Vernon since 1964. She retired from the Mount Vernon Post Service after working there for 30 years.

White-Thomas is survived by children, Patricia Ann Thomas, RN and Dr. Albert George Thomas, Jr.; two grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Dr. Stephanie Marie Le Melle; sisters, Olga Myers of Bronx, Merlene Chambers of Apopka, Fla., Pearlie Lennon of Prospect Park, N.J.; and brothers, Sidney White of Casselberry, Fla., and Charles White of Hartsdale. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert George Thomas, Sr.

Calling hours are 9 a.m. Saturday, July 13 at Yannantuono, Burr, Davis, Sharpe Funeral Home in Fleetwood, Mount Vernon. Following the viewing, interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery where she will be buried next to her husband.
