MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. – Carol Esposito, of Mount Vernon, died Tuesday, March 1. She was 79.
She was born Oct. 28, 1936, in Mount Vernon to Guattiero and Margaretha (Jacober) Casagrande.
On May 26, 1957, she married Joseph Esposito in Mount Vernon.
She was very active in her community and was a member of the Kent Senior Citizens, the Kent-Republican Committee and the Lake Carmel Lady Auxiliary Fire Department. In addition, she volunteered at St. James the Apostle Church, Putnam Hospital Center and the Kent PBA.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years; her three children, Debra Burghardt, Jodi Panny and Joseph Esposito, Jr.; her sister Suzanne (Roland) Benson; her three grandchildren, Carli-Rae Panny, Rachel Panny and Joseph Esposito III.
Visitation is Thursday from 3-7:30 p.m. at Cargain Funeral Homes Inc., Carmel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11 a.m. at St. James the Apostle Church.
