MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- Blanche Ciarcia died on April 25 at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. She was 92.
Ciarcia was born in the Bronx on Dec. 15, 1922, to Joseph and Natalie Farkas.
She was predeceased by her husband Howard Ciarcia, and is survived by her children, James Ciarcia and his wife Michele, Howard Ciarcia, Theresa Clarke, Robert Ciarcia, Diane Samperi and Dennis Ciarcia, along with seven grandchildren, Melissa Ciarcia, Rebecca Ciarcia-Haase, Alexandra and Christopher Ciarcia, Nicolas and Cynthia Samperi, and Cayla Clarke.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Yannantuono Burr Davis Sharpe Funeral Home, at 584 Gramatan Ave. in Mount Vernon.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday at St. Ursula's Church at 10 a.m.
Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
