MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- Agnesa Damiano of Mount Vernon died on Tuesday, April 12. She was 88.
She was born in Guardia Lombardi, Italy. on May 11, 1927 to Rocco and Anna Maiorano.
She married Ferdinando Damiano in Italy in 1948. Together they came to the United States to raise their family in 1966.
She worked for Kulka Electric until her retirement in 1992.
Damiano is survived by her son Aldo (Susana); daughter Anna DiLeo (Agostino); five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a sister, Esterina Secchiano; and a brother, Ersilio Maiorano.
Her husband died on July 14, 2015.
Visitation is on Friday, April 15, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Yannantuono Funeral Home, 584 Gramatan Ave.in Mount Vernon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at St. Joseph's Church in Bronxville at 10:45 a.m. Entombment to follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.
