MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. – Adelaide S. Campbell, a longtime resident of Mount Vernon, and prior resident of Larchmont, died Friday, Jan. 22. She was 98.
Born Oct. 16, 1917, to Uriah E. and Lillian (Simon) Summers in Larchmont, she attended the public schools of Larchmont, Mamaroneck and graduated from Rhodes School of New York City.
She was married to Arthur B. Campbell.
She was a member of St. Simon's Episcopal Church of New Rochelle and served as secretary, treasurer, vestry, and was a member of the Justin society and choir for many years.
She was predeceased by her husband and several sisters and brothers.
Family will receive friends Saturday from 9-10 a.m. at the St. Simon's Episcopal Church, 135 Remington Place, New Rochelle. Funeral services will follow at 10 a.m. Interment will take place at Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla.
