Adelaide 'Addie' Rosenthal, 84, Mount Vernon Nurse

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. – Adelaide "Addie" Rosenthal of Mount Vernon died Sept. 2. She was 84. 

She was born Oct. 25, 1927, in Paterson, N.J., where she met her husband of 64 years, Stanley Rosenthal. A registered nurse, she held bachelor's and master's degrees. Rosenthal was director of the infection control department at Mount Vernon Hospital, where she worked for more than 44 years until her illness. 

She is survived by her husband, Stanley; two sons, Dr. David Rosenthal, of Framingham, Mass., and Michael Rosenthal, of New Rochelle; and two granddaughters. 

The family will receive friends from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Yannantuono Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will then be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Ursula's Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
