Veteran Mount Vernon Firefighter Welcomes Son To Department

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- A longtime Mount Vernon firefighter welcomed his son to the department, according to a report on News 12.

Joseph Melendez joined his father, Tito, a 25-year veteran of the department, as a member of the Mount Vernon Fire Department. Last year, the son of Anthony Piscopo, another longtime firefighter, also joined the fire department, according to the story.
