MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- The New York State Health Department is offering the community in-person navigation services to help the public get health insurance under the Affordable Care Act. If you sign up by Dec. 23, you will have coverage on Jan. 1.
Navigators provide application assistance to individuals, families and small businesses for initial enrollment and when renewing coverage. They can teach you the ins and outs of the Act and describe the different products available in New York.

The line is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, from 9 a.m to 1 p.m. You can also visit the state's website to enroll online now.
If you sign up by Dec. 23, you will have coverage on Jan. 1.
