'Sexually Violent, Predicate' Sex Offender Reports Move Into Mount Vernon

A registered sex offender convicted of sexually abusing an 11 and 12-year-old girl has reported an address change in Westchester County.

The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert on Tuesday to Westchester residents regarding the residency of 70-year-old Stanley Dixon, who has moved to an apartment on Martens Place in Mount Vernon.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Dixon a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and possible threat to public safety.” He has also been designated as a sexually violent and predicate offender.

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Dixon had sexual contact with his victims in 2002 and was arrested by the Mount Vernon City Police Department. He was convicted on two charges of first-degree sexual abuse the following year and sentenced to five years in state prison. He had also previously been convicted of criminal sexual act by compulsion. He is back under the jurisdiction of law enforcement in Mount Vernon.
