The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Westchester residents regarding the residency of 36-year-old Scott Cross, who has moved to a residence on Sidney Avenue in Mount Vernon.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Cross as a level two threat, which means he is at "moderate risk of a repeat offense."

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Cross sexually abused his victim in 2006 and was convicted of sexual misconduct in June 2007 and sentenced to a year in jail. He was arrested by the White Plains City Police Department and is now under the jurisdiction of the Mount Vernon Police Department.

Further info on Cross from the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services can be accessed after entering the code in the CAPTCHA box found by clicking here.
