A registered "lifetime" sexual offender convicted of attempted sexual abuse has reported a move in Westchester County.
The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Westchester residents regarding the residency of 42-year-old Marcus Davis, who has reported an address change to an apartment on Millington Avenue in Mount Vernon.
The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Davis a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and possible threat to public safety.” He has also been designated for lifetime registration, though he is subject to petition for relief.
According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Davis had sexual intercourse with his victim in 1995 and he was sentenced to a term of between 18 months and three years in state prison. He is now under the jurisdiction of the Mount Vernon City Police Department.
