The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert on Tuesday to Westchester residents regarding the residency of 32-year-old James Eaton, who has reported a move to a home on North Columbus Avenue in Mount Vernon.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Eaton a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and possible threat to public safety.”

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Eaton was busted in possession of a sexual performance by a child less than 16-years-old in February 2010. He was arrested by the Westchester County Department of Public Safety and sentenced to 18 months in state prison in September of that year. He is now under the jurisdiction of the Mount Vernon City Police Department.
