WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Several accidents were reported as snow continues to fall throughout the area Friday.

There were delays on the northbound Sprain Brook Parkway at Route 100/Bradhurst Avenue in Hawthorne following a 6:30 p.m. accident.

An accident was reported at 5:30 p.m. on eastbound Route 35 in Somers at Route 100.

An accident reported at 6:30 p.m. involving a car bringing down a utility pole and wires led to the closure of Furnace Dock Road in Cortlandt.

The storm brought daytime snowfall accumulations of 1 to 3 inches throughout the area.

Snowfall will continue through the evening with another 1 to 3 inches of accumulation possible.

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect through 2 a.m. Saturday.

The March 2015 equinox, which signals the official start of spring, occurred at 6:45 p.m. Friday.

The outlook for Saturday calls for mostly cloudy skies with a high between 43 and 45 degrees, with the wind-chill factor between 25 and 35 degrees.
