Nurse Killed While Walking To Work In Mount Vernon

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- A nurse walking to work in Mount Vernon was struck and killed by a car Wednesday, according to multiple reports.

Mount Vernon police are investigating after a 56-year-old nurse was struck and killed by an SUV while she was walking to work.

The unidentified 56-year-old woman was hit by the 34-year-old driver of an SUV as she crossed Terrance Avenue where it intersects with Grand Street, a News 12 report said.

The accident is under investigation.
