New Medical-Surgical Unit At Montefiore Opens In Mount Vernon

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held this week for the opening of the new Medical-Surgical Unit at Montefiore Mount Vernon.

The completely renovated unit includes 28 new beds with built-in scales and safety alarms, flat screen TVs, new equipment, furniture, floors and fixtures in the rooms and bathrooms, new signage, a new nurses station and separate physician work space.
