Mount Vernon Taxes Are Due By Jan. 31

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. – Residents who own property in Mount Vernon must pay their taxes by Jan. 31 or incur interest charges, Comptroller Maureen Walker announced.

There will be no interest on taxes paid before or on that date, she said. Jan. 31 is the deadline for the second half of the 2012-13 school tax and the first half of property taxes for the new year.
