Mount Vernon Mayor Ernie Davis' Sentencing Pushed Back

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- Mount Vernon Mayor Ernie Davis, who pleaded guilty to federal tax evasion charges, will wait an extra 11 days to learn his fate on the plea, according to a report by LoHud.com.

The change in sentencing, now scheduled for Friday, Feb. 6, comes after an adjournment request by Davis' attorneys, the report said.

Davis refuses to step down pending his sentencing, even after critics disputed his decision, the report said.
