Mount Vernon High Garners Smart App Win

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- Students from Mount Vernon High School's Vybe team placed third in the Mobile App Usability Award at the annual Westchester Smart Mobile App Development Bowl April 15 held at Pace University in Pleasantville, mvinquirer said.

Mamaroneck High School students took top honors at the competition where more than 250 students aimed for prizes for best mobile application, the report said. 

The challenge was to design an app that will improve the life quality of people 65 and above, said mvinquirer.com.

Eight high schools and college received cash awards at the Bowl presented by County Executive Robert P. Astorino and Pace’s Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems, said the report.
