The auction included properties the city had seized for nonpayment of taxes or fees and featured everything from churches to vacant lots, said lohud.com.
One of the more controversial parcels to sell was the former headquarters of the Jonas Brothers Studios, which sold for $310,000, that a local cultural group had tried to purchase last year, added Lohud.com.
