Mount Vernon Announces Street Closings For Snow Removal

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- The City of Mount Vernon has ordered several street closings..

The commissioner of the Department of Public Works ordered that the following streets be free of all vehicles from 12 to 8 a.m. until further notice to allow for snow removal.

Vehicles remaining on the street will be ticketed and towed.

The authority lies within the Mayor's Declaration of Emergency.

South Fourth Avenue between Second Street and Third Street
First Street between Fifth Avenue and Third Avenue
Second Street between Fifth Avenue and Third Avenue
Gramatan Avenue from Prospect Avenue to North Street.
