Fulton Avenue Bridge In Mount Vernon Reopens

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. – The Fulton Avenue Bridge, which connects Mount Vernon and Pelham Manor across the Hutchinson River, has reopened after being shut down nearly three months.

The draw bridge originally closed in May, reopen briefly but in September crews detected structural deficiencies and it closed again. A press release from Westchester County said the bridge failed numerous times while trying to raise for boat traffic.
