Motorists and residents concerned about upcoming construction that will significantly impact traffic on the Sprain  Brook Parkway can find out the details of the work plan during a forum on Thursday, Aug. 3 at Pace University.

The New York State Department of Transportation will host the informational meeting from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Pace University, Westchester Campus, Willcox Hall Multipurpose Room, in Pleasantville.

The meeting will offer details about the Sprain Brook Parkway over Payne Street Bridge replacement project which will replace a bridge between Route 100C and Interstate 287 on the Parkway and require lane reductions in Greenburgh during the process.

In addition to information about the project, officials will offer transit options for commuters as well.

The Parkway is expected to be reduced from three lanes in each direction to two lanes in each direction beginning approximately Monday, Aug. 21, and is expected to last until Monday, Nov. 20.

Members of the public can stop in at any point during the meeting for information, as there will be no formal presentation.

Anyone who is unable to attend the meeting can find information related to the project and commuting options at www.511nyr.org/sprainatpayne .
