MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- Former Mount Vernon Mayor Ernie Davis, reacting to the conviction of a local firefighter for gun running, said he was shocked by the news but didn’t think it would make much of a difference in the city, according to News 12.
Former Mount Vernon firefighter Henry-George Thomas, the half-brother of new Mayor Richard Thomas, has pleaded guilty to federal gun-running charges. Local officials say they are shocked by the case.
