'Renew The City' National Volunteer Event In Mount Vernon

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. – The Mount Vernon Alliance Church will be part of the national “Renew The City” volunteer event, as the local version takes place on Saturday, May 16 at 8 a.m.

“Renew The City” is a national initiative where local volunteers clean, paint, plant around and spruce up the city of choice.

There will be a kickoff rally at the Alliance Church on 61 South 3rd Avenue before moving out around the area.

To register, go online to www.cmalliance.org/events/2015/renew-the-city.

The cost of registration will cover a t-shirt, breakfast, lunch and snacks.
