Funds raised during the first-ever breakfast event will support summer camp scholarships for youth in the area. It will be held from 9 a.m. to noon May 4 at First United Methodist Church.

This year, the Y-COP’s summer camp will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily from July 8 through Aug. 23. The camp will include field trips to the library, local parks and sport instruction. Each week will introduce a new theme, including fitness, hygiene, the environment and nature.

Campers will receive a bag of groceries each week from the Food Bank for Westchester’s Backpack Program, and lunch will be provided each day by the Mount Vernon School District.

Those interested in attending the pancake fundraiser can RSVP by emailing YCOP2012@gmail.com or calling 914-215-3063. Parents interested in registering children ages 6 to 12 for the summer camp should call the same number for details and prices.
