LeadingAge's program, open to state residents, specializes in helping professionals be better leaders in the senior services field with readings, discussions and other activities. The organization is a conglomerate of other state associations in the field.
As part of the graduation ceremony, Wartburg's 34-acre campus held a panel where senior staff discussed the ins and outs of senior care.
“I am so pleased that Wartburg hosted the final leg of their yearlong fellowship journey. This highly regarded academy will facilitate the development and growth of the next generation of senior living leaders in our state.” said Wartburg President and CEO David J. Gentner.
“Wartburg was the perfect place to conclude our Leadership Academy series. Wartburg’s staff embody the values and mission of the organization, which is rich in history and service to others. The environment created an opportunity for the fellows to consider how best to balance the commitments of work and personal life, enhancing both.” said LeadingAge senior policy analyst and program coach Diane Darbyshire.
