Mount Vernon's Wartburg Honored For Achievements In Services To The Aging

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- Mount Vernon's Wartburg Adult Care Community was awarded the Golden Harvest Corporate Award from the Westchester Public/Private Partnership for Aging Services at a Tarrytown breakfast ceremony on Thursday.

Among its organizational achievements this past year, Wartburg opened the Friedrichs Residence, a four story building of 61-unit affordable apartments for seniors. And, this October it will open a new multi-level rehabilitation and adult day services pavilion.

David Gentner, CEO and president, was at the breakfast to accept the honor. 

Wartburg is a provider of comprehensive senior services, including independent living, assisted living, Alzheimer’s/dementia care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation and hospice care.
