Mount Vernon's Stephen C. Milligan Completes U.S. Navy Basic Training

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. – Navy Seaman Apprentice Stephen C. Milligan, son of Brenda S. Milligan of Mount Vernon and Joe N. Milligan of the Bronx, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

Milligan was promoted to his current rank upon graduation. He received the early promotion for outstanding performance during all phases of training. Training included classroom study and practical instruction on naval customs, first aid, firefighting, water safety and survival, and shipboard and aircraft safety.

Milligan is a 2006 graduate of Stepinac High School in White Plains.
